Privacy policy
Last updated October 22, 2026
Ball Knowledge is a free sports trivia game. You don't need an account to play. If you choose to register, we ask for an email address, username, and password to manage your account.
What we store
- Optional account information. Netlify Identity manages your email address, password authentication, verification, and recovery. Your username is stored as account metadata. Authentication sessions are stored in your browser so you stay logged in when you return. Account information is not yet connected to scores, statistics, or coins. Logging out ends the browser session; it does not delete your account.
- The nickname you type. Other players see it in matches and on the leaderboards. Don't use your real full name.
- A random player ID. Firebase, a Google service, creates an anonymous ID for your browser so your scores stay yours. It isn't linked to your identity.
- Your game results: daily challenge scores, XP, rank, wins and best streak, shown on public leaderboards.
- Live match info such as your team and score while you're in a match. It's deleted when you leave.
- Settings and stats on your device (browser local storage), such as your sound setting and career stats.
Ads
The game may show ads from Google AdSense between games. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your data. We use Google Firebase to run matches and leaderboards, Google AdSense for ads, and Netlify Identity for optional accounts. Their handling of data is covered by the respective providers’ privacy policies.
Kids
Ball Knowledge isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Deleting your data
Clearing your browser's site data removes everything stored on your device. To request account deletion or remove your scores from the leaderboards, email us at [your email address] with your nickname and the date you played.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
